Botox Part 2

Well having just returned from the Greenwood Clinic in Belfast I'm a little bruised and swollen. Not enough to make me regret my decision to turn back time however. Needles have never been my thing. Be it Dentist or Doctor I shy away from syringes. I think its the fear rather than the feeling that gets me.

I was in the safe hands of Dr Lyn Moncrieff who, after a lengthy consultation, advised on what areas she would treat. Naturally I have done extensive research into Botox and Fillers and felt reassured and comfortable with the good Doctor.

Before the injections took place, Dr Moncrieff cleansed my skin before using a rather ingenious way to numb my skin. Tiny balloons filled with water then frozen were rolled across the target areas and I have to admit I didn't feel a thing. I'll be heading back to the clinic in two weeks for a follow up appointment. This is to compare before and after pictures and talk through any additional concerns.

What I didn't intend on having done was some fillers in my lips. Now don't worry - I'm not getting addicted. I just felt that if I was in for a penny, I should be in for a pound. Fine lines and a naturally uneven lip line were tackled by Dr Neville McMullan.  Immediately putting me at ease, the Dr advised that a dental block would be needed before any filler was injected. Knowing there were a few options and grades of filler I was pleased with how he described his choice and what results would be given.

Unlike other clinics I had looked into, my service at The Greenwood Clinic was very personal and not about making a fast buck. I also felt reassured that these were two well respected local GPs and again knowing I would see the same Practitioners every time I visited was another reason I chose them.

I can thoroughly recommend The Greenwood Clinic and both Dr Moncrieff and Dr McMullan can offer lunchtime and evening appointments.

Now granted Belfast may not suit everyone and I do have a friend here but even including the cost of my flight it still worked out cheaper than some City Centre salons in Glasgow. I wouldn't go anywhere else now.
