As I look out my window to the snow covered hills I wish you all a warm and safe start to 2010.

With that said and done, it's time to kick off my first official blog of the year with the deserving and delightful latest addition from Estee Lauder. Launching only yesterday, Lauder introduces us to the fabulous Resilience Lift Extreme Lifting Makeup.

Designed to tick all the beauty bozes, including, all day moisture, radiance, and lift. This new foundation is set to become a best seller.

With the 94% of women in their user trials feeling their skin looked smoother and 89% feeling their skin was firmer and more lifted I had to give it a go.

I've always been a fan of their foundations and use the 'hero' Doublewear and also Doublewear light quite a lot so it was interesting to see how the formulations compared.

Immediately I found this to be soft,fluid and easy to work with. This foundation delivers a 'second skin' effect that blends easily. Natural butters, ceramides and hyaluronic acid give continuous hydration leaving skin lookingh fresher for longer. It does leave skin looking dewy without the 'heavy pearl' effect some foundations give. In terms of lift, I did notice skin to appear a little firmer and it doesn't settle into fine lines like some 'chalkier and powder' options do.

It comes in 14 shades and is suitable for all skin types too. at £28.00 for 30mls this gets the thumbs up from me.
