About Me

It's true, I'm make up mad and when I'm not writing my weekly column in Scotland's best read Sunday newspaper The Sunday Mail or my Beauty Spot page at 5pm you can find me with brush in hand working on a blushing bride. www.craigalexanderwilson.co.uk and www.createthedream.co.uk www.5pm.co.uk

Aspire with Aspinal

The very mention of  British brand Aspinal and the words leather, luxury and lifestyle spring to mind. Whether its their buttery soft journals or super stylish vanity cases this range is as traditionally tasteful as it gets. Well at least thats what I thought until I visited their latest concession in House of Fraser Glasgow. Contemporary designs and high fashion finishes prove that Aspinal have moved with the times.
Like a magpie I'm drawn to anything shiny and the patent pouches from their Nautical Range caught my eye. I also loved the Brit Beauty Collection with its bold Union Jack patent finish. Heritage is a key trend its its officially cool to be patriotic. Although I have to admit, I haven't been this excited since I saw Ginger Spice live at the Brits.
This boy does love his accessories and with a penchant for Louis Vernis but not the purse, I did indulge myself with a new washbag. It was the Skull and Rose design that did it for me. It will look great with my Westwood Cuff links and gloves I told myself. Sadly my moto is 'get it because you want it, not need it'. My visa bill will back it up. Also almost all of the range can be monogrammed making gift giving easier and personal. Sadly the only gift giving I've done is to myself.

Check out the collection at www.aspinaloflondon.com  or visit Frasers for a touch and feel.
