I've always had an interest in any product or treatment with an Eastern root. Reiki, Thai Massage and even ingredients like Lotus, Lychee and Bamboo have always been a draw. I'm delighted with my latest discovery. WEI is one of the latest ranges to hit the shelves in Space NK. Nikki Kinaird always sources new and exciting niche brands and brings them to the masses and for that I salute her. This new beauty offering is another gorgeous range.
Based on the theories of traditional Chinese Medicine, WEI skincare comes in four categories.
Chi- Purifies and cleanses and clears the way for energy flow.
Yang- Energises the skin for a new and revitalised appearance.
Yin - Replenishes and nourishes the skin and improves luminosity and texture
Zen - Corrects and brings balance, giving and even and healthy skin tone.
A simple and effective way to categorise the range, making it easy to dip into depending on your skin needs. I tried then Chinese Rose Foaming Cleanser. With a little water it foamed beautiful and with a fresh light scent I felt clean and fresh. I like to use water on my face and Clarins Foaming Cleanser is a usual staple in my bathroom. Cream/Tissue off cleansers just don't do it for me. It's safe to say that this will be one products I'll keep replenished. It really was a joy to use. £25.00
Now, having always been a fan of a good exfoliation, pre shave and as a twice weekly slot in my skincare routine I was also keen to try the Pomegranate Buffing Beads. these come in little sachets that are simply to your cleanser to remove dead skin and leave a smoother, brighter complexion. One sachet was enough for a couple of goes and these finely milled beads were gentle but effective. £16.00 for ten sachets.
Now there are lots of bits and pieces in the range and everything from the packaging, the concept and this kind of self prescription collection has won me over. From the Golden Root Purifying Mud Mask with its application brush and tiny pots of mud to the White Lotus Moisture Rich Hydrating Cream there is something indulgent, effective yet holistic about the approach.
I urge you to try it and enjoy!
