However for skins that lack lustre I've played with my fair share of illuminating lotions and potions to find something that glows without glitter. Mac Strobe cream is a favourite, although it can almost 'bleach out' some skin tones. Now of course I don't mean that it works the Domestos does on a toilet bowl. What I mean is that aesthetically it can be too pale or warmer skin tones that usually require peach rather than white or blue pearl pigments.
Well even though Strobe Cream will be a firm favourite in my kit I have also added the gorgeous Gleam Cream by Illamasqua. Love, Love, Love it. It does everything you would expect, instantly brightens and gives skin a fresh and fabulous look with going down the 'girly glitter' route. Soft beige tones lift and even skin, making it a perfect prep product for foundation. It's also a great medium for mixing with fluid foundations or applying onto cheek and collar bones.
TOP TIP - For summer skin apply on top of your day cream and SPF, a little dusting of bronzer and some coral gloss and you are good to go.
