So Spa, So Good

It's often the case that a great beauty treatment is primarily down to a great Therapist. Product, atmosphere and everything else that goes with it comes second. I've had fantastic massages and facials in the past where the brands that are used are relatively unknown and inexpensive. It's also been the case that even in a noisy treatment room, I've still managed to drift off because the hands of my Therapist have been like that of an angel. Even with flickering candles, fragrant oil burners and whale music playing in the background, a lazy or uninterested therapist immediately wipes out the ambiance of even the most stylish and serene of spa's.

Last week I was in Northern Ireland. As my trip was pleasure and not business, I decided to check out the highly Spa at the Culloden. I had booked in for the Mostly Men Celtic Recovery Treatment which was an intense 1 hour and 20 min facial and body massage and it was well worth the £105.00 price tag. A thorough and sincere pre treatment consultation with my therapist already had me relaxed and her product knowledge of the ESPA range was extensive.

From start to finish, this has to be one of the best treatments I have had. The bespoke massage and facial techniques were aimed towards my needs and the end result was just amazing.

If you visit Northern Ireland, then this oasis of calm is a must.
