About Me

It's true, I'm make up mad and when I'm not writing my weekly column in Scotland's best read Sunday newspaper The Sunday Mail or my Beauty Spot page at 5pm you can find me with brush in hand working on a blushing bride. www.craigalexanderwilson.co.uk and www.createthedream.co.uk www.5pm.co.uk

Dear Diary

It's been a busy week all round with one thing and another. Writing copy for the next issue of my column 'beauty spot'(this week it's all about hanging onto your tan) in The Sunday Mail as well as two photo shoots has left me a little frayed at the edges. I love being busy though. My first shoot of the week took me to Glasgow Hot Spot and members club No 29 where I had to meet new singing star Georgina Castle, Daughter of GMTV's Andrew Castle. Georgina has hooked up with Keith Jack from TV's Any Dream Will Do fame. This duo have tour dates across Scotland where they sing hits from all the big musicals. These guys were a pleasure to work with.Young, fresh and with their feet firmly on the ground. I have to say the new Matrix Loosley Defined Texture Cream from their new Design Pulse range is amazing. I used this on Georgia's gorgeous golden curls. It creates shape to curls the way a mouse would hair without leaving hair feeling crisp and sticky. It gives Soft Textured curls. Look out for the fashion feature with Keith and Georgina in The Sunday Mail.

My next port of call was to the studio of Glasgow photographer, John Cooper. I've worked with John on several occasions now. He specialises in 'head shots' for actors and actresses and brings me in to create the looks. A lot of this work is similar to the 'beauty shots' we see in magazines because the photography is tight and close up. It would surprise you how much make up it takes to make someone look natural.
John also takes some great photographs in and around Glasgow and captures the architecture of the city perfectly. I have my eye on a couple of his images. Check out John's websites

With a jam packed week I've been left longing for the weekend until I realised I'm working Sunday too. I have agreed to help my good friend Ina Spence with some colour training. Ina Works as a Regional Manager for Vie at Home, formerly Virgin Vie. She is launching their new Christmas collection to her team of 100 girls. Yours truly will be doing three workshops on creating a 'party look' with the new colour and creating the 'flawless base'. Should be a good day and the girls look after me well. If the saying' no rest for the wicked' is true, I must have been one hell of a bad boy. Wink. Till Next week. Craig xx
