Je t'adore.......
Oui, bien sur, c'est magnifique, mon cheri. Et voila. I know, I know, there's literally no end to my talents. Not only am I a dab hand with a lash building mascara but I can also parlez a petit bit of French. In fact, let me try a few of my favourite French words on you now, mes amies. Dior!! Chanel!! Yves Saint Laurent! Terry de Gunzburg!!
Terry de Who?? I hear you cry. Well you may not have heard of her, but I bet you or someone you know owns a product developed by this international make up artist. Terry de Gunzburg was the creator of the wonder product that launched a thousand copycats, Touche Eclat by YSL. She also worked closely with renowned photographers like Helmut Newton and David Bailey to create iconic looks that inspired a generation.
After leaving YSL, Terry started her own luxury make up and skincare line called, simply, By Terry. Now readers, I'll warn you right now - this isn't make up for those on a budget and the prices may make you boak, but for those who can afford it, the ingredients and technology across the range are astounding.
My favourite product from the range is the Light Expert foundation (£39.00 at space nk). The push button brush applicator delivers a flawless, luminous finish, even close up. An amazing array of ingredients includes hyaluronic acid spheres, which plump up the facial contours and smooth away fine lines and wrinkles. Friends of mine who have used this product rave about the beautiful, natural yet concealing coverage and boast about their skin being radiant and dewy, but not in a ' fell headfirst into a vat of vaseline' style.
Available in 6 shades, the Light Expert is part of an extensive range of skincare and make up from By Terry, available at Space NK, and offers you a little je ne sais quoi or quelque chose, should you want a wee French fancy that doesnt come from Mr Kipling.
