Tri it!

Clarins-The NEW Tri Active Facial

The Pope's visit to Glasgow last week saw roads closed and a very busy city centre. After abandoning my car and hopping on a train I just made my appointment at The Clarins Spa in House of Fraser. It wasn't just the roads that were congested. My pores were too. Sweaty, stressed and craving some Therapeutic attention I immediately switched off and began to relax as I entered the treatment area behind the new look Clarins counter. No noise, hustle and bustle of shoppers or tills ringing let me calm down and prepare for the brands much hyped about Tri Active Facial.

It's clear the team of Therapists and Counter Staff were excited about the sleek new look and minimal but stylish treatment rooms. Quite rightly so. This oasis of calm in Glasgow's Flagship department store is the perfect city centre spot for a much needed pamper and I was about to experience, a first class treatment.

The new Tri Active Facial takes 1 hour and 20 minutes. 10 minutes of this is an in depth consultation with a skilled Therapist and after asking me lots of questions about my skincare routine (I think she was impressed, no puffiness and just a little dehydration but great clarity to my skin) and some investigative but gentle prodding of my face I undressed and got comfortable.

Enveloped in a huge white leather armchair and snuggled under a quilt meant it wasn't long before I nodded off. Waking only to disguise my snoring with a muffle. Although I'm assured its a massive compliment to a Therapist to fall asleep and snore. At one point I though my Therapist had four hands but as she massaged my feet shoulders and arms I realised the chair was massaging me too. A bit like those ones at the airport where people read their newspapers on but don't actually put a coin in the slot. After a double cleanse, exfoliating, mask, and moisturising  facial massage I awoke with my skin bright, clear and noticeably tighter around my jawline.

Although this is primarily a facial treatment,it really is so much more. The sense of well being and clarity showed not only in my skin, but my mind too. Well worth a visit.
