About Me

My photo
It's true, I'm make up mad and when I'm not writing my weekly column in Scotland's best read Sunday newspaper The Sunday Mail or my Beauty Spot page at 5pm you can find me with brush in hand working on a blushing bride. www.craigalexanderwilson.co.uk and www.createthedream.co.uk www.5pm.co.uk

It's gonna be a smash

It's been a busy two weeks and my posts have been short and few. As many of you will know, as well as writing my column for The Sunday Mail, I have also started working with the team at http://www.5pm.co.uk/ too. Writing my online beauty page which has been going down a storm. Heads a little like lipstick mush at the moment with all this beauty overload. Not that I am complaining. I love what I do. You could say, addicted, hooked, so I have been a little cold turkey with the blogs. Apologies again. So between bashing away on my keyboard , a trip down south for the boots press show, meeting the lovely Gok Wan, a shoot for OK with my mates Colin and Justin, meeting PR's and a Bobbi Brown demo by yours truly at No 29 Glasgow I'm a little bit bushed to say the least. However my ever hungry beauty devotees. In between typing the fingerprints off and living it up in London I have still managed to bring you some snippets of beauty news. So excuses aside, I hand you over to my latest discoveries. Enjoy.

Smashbox is a brand that's massive in the states. It's up there with the Mac's and Mercier's and I always feel that here in the UK we just don't embrace it enough. There are lots of hero products and I always remeber using their primer for the first time. WOW! The formulations are fab and they constantly launch new product and I have to say when it comes to skill. The girls on counter can beat some beauty ass. Just visit any of their sites in Debenhams and have a makeover.

One of their latest launches the  Soft Effects Powder Eye Liner. Think soft sultry lids as this new liner allows you to create a cloud of smoky colour. Say goodbye to hard, harsh lines with this new powder formula. The flexible applicator looks the way a liquid applicator would but is soft, flexible and picks up the pigment well. Available in Black, Brown, Gunmetal and Aubergine. These are set to be a SMASH! Available from Debenhams.
