Today I met with the lovely Kate from the Jo Malone Press Office in London. Sadly I had missed her last two visits, however she always keeps me up to speed on whats happening with the cult British brand. I have to admit I am a big fan. Ever since my first Lime, Basin and Mandarin purchase all those years ago I have been hooked.
Their latest launch, planned for September is already a winner with me. I received the Wild Bluebell Body Creme last month and have been drenching my body in its rich moisture and surprisingly fresh scent. I say I was surprised because I had until now always associated Bluebells with being heady and powdery. Don't ask me why? I think it may be because my of the Bluebell scent from Penhaligons I remember smelling when I worked in a perfumery all those years ago.
Today was the first I had tried the Cologne. It's really crisp, clean and very very green .The cologne and the collection also mark a welcome twist in how the brand have advertised and promoted their campaigns. The new visuals also caught my eye. They are really creative and the introduction of human imagery and have anreal diverse editorial edge. Different from what the brand has done before. A bit like how Burberry and Mulberry went through successful reinventions making them accessible, fashionable yet still retaining their luxury and heritage.
The line up includes
Wild Bluebell Cologne 30mls £36.00, 100mls £72.00
Body and Hand Wash £30.00
Body Creme £48.00
Home Candle £38.00
Available form Jo Malone stores and online from September www.jomalone.com
