Form an orderly Pugh

Not all creative collaborations between designers and beauty brands work well. It either comes across as being too predictably gimmicky or in fact a little lack lustre. Not this one. MAC's most recent partnership with London based designer Gareth Pugh delivers a line up of products that not only embody the designers powerful and dramatic  style but formulations and shades that fit with his esoteric and futuristic style. The geometric packaging is, well shall we say sooooooo Pugh too. Angular, sharp and dark!

Available nationwide from December, I'm sure this long awaited and highly anticipated limited edition launch wont last long. Even a glance at glorious frosted  gunmetal cream eye-shadow named Obscura will have you hooked and when the textures are tried, well the rest shall we say is fashion history. Blackened  burgundy shadows and graphic black kohl liners are punctuated when worn with sleek cool mono chromatic counterparts (my own words, not from a press release) like Vacant, the violet pearl lipglass and Inert. A greyed mid toned nude nail colour.Look out for the Flight Lash Triangular shaped false lashes too. Amazing. Some of the textures and indeed the packaging reminds me a little of Illamasqua.

Prices start at £13.50 for the Studio Fix Bold Black Mascara, with Lipglass coming in at £19.00, Metal-X Cream Shadow at £24.50 and a Gareth Pugh for MAC Make up bag at £60.00
